I am second a year PhD student in the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at NC State University, under advising of dr. Sara Shashaani. I received my Bachelor's degree from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in Industrial Engineering in 2018. I am also pursuing my minor degree in the statistics and my masters in Operations Research.

My main research interest is the applications of optimization methods, especially stochastic optimization in data analytics. More specifically, I am interested in finding solutions for data driven combinatorial optimization problems, such as feature selection.
